Abstract

This thesis presents the design and development of a web-based application featuring a booking system tailored to the needs of a hairdressing salon. The primary aim of the project is to deliver a seamless and user-friendly online reservation experience. The development process follows the agile Scrum methodology, with its principles and practices documented within the work. From a technological standpoint, the application is built using Java and the Spring Boot framework and uses a PostgreSQL relational database. System security is implemented using the Spring Security library. The frontend is developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enhanced with the Tailwind CSS framework to provide a responsive design optimized for mobile devices. Dynamic content rendering is achieved through the Thymeleaf templating engine.
