Abstract
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the proposal for a new community retreat center in the village of Radovesice. The thesis is prepared as detailed design documentation based on an architectural study. It includes the architectural and building construction part of the documentation, consisting of a technical report and construction drawings at the appropriate scale.
The construction drawings include floor plans of the individual storeys, a foundation plan, a roof plan, a floor slab layout above the ground floor, sections, elevations, a site plan, a construction detail, and schedules of building elements.
The thesis also includes a thermal performance assessment of the roof structure in accordance with the applicable requirements of Czech technical standards, as well as a structural assessment of the prefabricated terrace floor structure made of prestressed hollow-core SPIROLL panels in terms of the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state.
The proposal respects the functional, operational, technical, and structural requirements placed on a community-oriented building. The building is conceived as a place where people can meet, slow down, rest, and regain energy — a place that allows them to step away from their everyday routine for a while and focus on themselves or shared activities. Particular emphasis is placed on an appropriate spatial arrangement, structural system, and construction solution of the building, while also taking into account the intention to use local resources. The concept also incorporates an intensive green roof, which contributes to the environmental quality of the proposal as well as to the overall architectural and technical solution of the building.
