Design Studio Landek

Abstract

The subject of this thesis is preparation of project documentation for construction of Design Studio Landek (only part). The basis for the processing of this documentation was urban studies (ATT III), architectural studies (ATT IV) and documentation for building permit (ATT Va). The building is situated in area of historical mine called Anselm which is part of natural landscape Landek in Petřkovice at Ostrava. The aim of this thesis was to create place for designers which will be in close connection with proces of creation. The building will dominate the crafts area of its unusual form and size but also fits into the natural character of the place. Crystalline form is based on histrorical context and the natural progress in the field of crafts. The building is designed as superstructure on historical joinery which implies a structural and dispositional solution that provides a direct link between designers and manufactures.
