Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with completing and stabilization fortification circle of the city Opava with cultural -social object. Lost places of the city were investigated based on the historical context. There were evaluated according to the system which was developer. Solutions for sustainability and regeneration of the city center and the historic ringstrasse becomes the culturally social cross, which reflects the lost places. The town center is anchored by four important cultural items that complement the identity of the core town. Opposite site of shopping mall Breda and Weinstein is considered as the first important stage in the implementation of social and cultural cross. City Palace is located in the place of today's street Praskova, which stabilizes the area and create an adequate opponency to shopping center. Location of object, his surroundings and his form is affected by the results of the examination of lost places and context of the city Opava. New object is a symbolic border (rampart) between city and perifery.
