Abstract
The work assesses the hydrogen embrittlement of duplex steels of type 22/05 with ferritic - austenitic microstructure. Using the tensile test specimens with a diameter of d0 = 4 mm and the length L0 = 20 mm, was investigated the resistance of steels to hydrogen embrittlement at the speed of loading v = 0.5 mm/min. The samples were electrolytically hydrogen charging in 0.1N and 1N H2SO4 solution with addition 1 g KSCN per 1 litter of solution for 24, 168 and 672 hours. The main results of this study was to determine the mechanical properties of duplex steels, the calculation of diffusion coefficient D, assessment of fracture surfaces of hydrogen charging samples and index of hydrogen embrittlement F indicating the information about hydrogen embrittlement of the material.
