Financování projektů města z fondů EU

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the use of EU funds by the town of Kopřivnice in years 2007 - 2011. The thesis uses the method of analysis of documents, secondary data analysis and synthesis. The theoretical part describes the possibilities of financing projects from EU funds in the Czech Republic. It introduces the European Policy of Economic and Social Cohesion as well as the structure of EU funds and the summary and description of the operational programs. The analytical part examines whether the particular operational programs are available for the town of Kopřivnice as a public body. In a more detailed way the Regional Operational Program Moravia-Silesia is being analyzed since it was the mainly used Program by the town of Kopřivnice. There is also introduced the list of applications of the town of Kopřivnice for EU subsidies for the mentioned period of time. The final part evaluates the use of EU funds by the town of Kopřivnice, in terms of all operational programs and the Regional Operational Program Moravia-Silesia. It also presents the benefits of the EU subsidies for the town of Kopřivnice. Achieving the goal the hypothesis was verified - the town of Kopřivnice uses the EU resources mainly from Regional Operational Program Moravia-Silesia, Priority Axis 3 - Urban Development, area of support 3.2 - Sub-regional centres.
