The EFQM Excellence Model and Possibilities of Its Use in a Chosen Company

Abstract

The aim of this dissertation is to introduce the EFQM Excellence Model, its main elements as well as its main strengths and weaknesses and focus on the possibility of its practical use in the chosen company of CEMAT. Managers of CEMAT were chosen as a population, as they have the key information needed to use the EFQM Model Excellence and self-asses CEMAT. Interviews were conducted and a qualitative data analysis was carried out by applying the EFQM model on the particular company. It was found that the state of quality management implemented in CEMAT is already very high and it was suggested to the company to further implement the TQM principles to enhance their image and reputation. However, due to the lack of practical experience of the researcher in the field of EFQM and other limitations of this research, results should be carefully considered.
