Metody a principy v řízení dodavatelských řetězců

Abstract

The title of the bachelor thesis is "Methods and principles in Supply Chain Management". At first I will explain the concept of Supply Chain with presenting of different definitions of the supply chain, and also flows in the supply chains. Then I will discuss factors leading to the development of Supply Chain Management (SCM). The next part of the bachelor thesis will focus on the characteristics of SCM, with defining the term according to different authors. The essence of SCM, its goals and tools will be described later on, as well as the construction of the SCM networks. Because information technologies also have their contribution to the SCM, some of them will be mentioned in the next chapter. I will focus primarily on EDI, APS, and SCM systems. The thesis will conclude with a critical assessment of the topic. The objective of my bachelor thesis is to bring near the issue to readers, to create a general and understandable overview of reasons of Supply Chains creation, of their essence and their management.
