Abstract
Dissertation deals with performance management in industrial enterprises based in the Czech Republic. Focus is given on employee performance with regard to particular group of employees, namely managers, technical and administrative staff and manual workers, according to selected areas of interest, such as motivation, stimulation, work environment, individual skills and management style.
Above mentioned issues are solved using empirical data collected within questionnaire survey conducted in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic. Obtained data were statistically evaluated and further processed using Pearson's contingency coefficient, Pareto rule and Factor analysis.
Models of current and desired staff performance management were formed based on Pareto rules. These models were compared and subsequently an algorithm for desired model implementation in practice was proposed. In comparison framework were also involved results of prior data processing using Pearson's contingency coefficient and factor analysis method. Interpretation of the results shows differences in employee performance management in industrial enterprises with regard to their positions and accordingly the differences were identified between current and desired models of performance management.
Calculations and analysis conducted implies that individual approach to performance management based on employee work engagement is essential. The results shown that current models of employee performance management are not corresponding with those requested by employees themself.
The outcome of the work, however, are not only optimization models of performance management for specific groups of employees, but also catalogs the most preferred factors of the areas involved on work performance of employees (based on their employment status), which can be applied in optimizing employee performance by focusing company management on motivation, stimulation, work environment, individual abilities and management style of its employees.
