Abstract

This thesis deals with the efficiency of thermal to mechanical energy transformation in steam turbines. The introductory part is devoted to the theoretical description of the issue of energy equipment efficiency. Subsequently it also describes different types of the steam turbines and their inclusion in the steam power station. The second part brings the electricity and heating production in the Energetika Třinec a.s. Company. The final part is to evaluate the operational efficiency of the turbo-generator TG 14 in summer and winter operation.
