Abstract
The aim of the thesis is based on an analysis of railway policy of the EU and of the Czech Republic to assess the impact of the transport policy of the European Union on the Czech rail transport. The first part deals with the issue of transport and the Common Transport Policy of the EU. The second part is devoted to the railway transport and contains the definition of the railway sector in the market of the European Union and the Czech Republic. The third part analyses the impact of the European transport policy on the Czech rail transport.
