Abstract
Micropile is a type of the deep foundation with a wide range of usage. It is crucial to know the load bearing capacity of the micropile, so they can be used effectively.
This bachelor thesis aims to set the load bearing capacity of the micropile both experimentally and numerically. The experiment consists of micropile and a reinforced concrete footing construction, which have been subjected to compression forces. To obtain the required information, the static load test was carried out. The static load test allowed to determine the dependency of the settlement of the micropile on the applied load – the deformation characteristics. Tanks to the deformation characteristics the values of a maximal and residual strength of the soil-pile interface could have been obtained. These values were set by using the force method The load bearing capacity of the micropile was also calculated by using the force method.
