Abstract
The thesis is focused on the application of iron oxides FeO, Fe3O4 and Fe2O3 from mill scale and their processing in electric arc furnace.
In the theoretical part there is a description of iron oxides sources , possibilities of their treatment and subsequent reduction in electric arc furnace, influence of reducing agents on metal yield and slag weight, price comparison of given reducers application. In the framework of the experimental part was experimental melting in the ŽĎAS, a.s. and following procedures were proposed.
