Abstract

MACHALOVÁ, S.: Multi-purpose sports and recreation center, Bratislava-MČ Dúbravka, SK: Thesis: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Architecture 226, 2017, 42 p., Thesis supervisor: Doc. Ing. arch. Akad. arch. Ivan Gürtler. The subject of the thesis is the evaluation of the quality and amount of sports, recreation and relaxation possibilities in the Bratislava-Dubravka district and elaboration of architectural study. It also focuses on cultivation and extension of sports and leisure activities which meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements of the present time. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of the solved area on a wider and also on a local scale and identification of important elements that are applied in the proposal. The main goal of the concept is maximal utilization of the area with emphasis on the character of the area, its morphology and conservation of vegetation. The practical part of thesis is based on analysis and offers a possible solution through a sports-relaxation center. The proposal counts with unconventional roofing of the building and connection of multi-level roads. Proposed center supports existing activities and offers new possibilities for the district and emphasize the potential of the area.
