Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the negative human impact on the world ocean ecosystem. Thesis makes an effort of the multidisciplinary approach with the using of the apparently non-related examples. Analyses negative impacts of the human activities as are pollution and rising temperatures of water on the ocean ecosystem. Orderliness of tourists and excessive fishing are other problems discussed in this thesis. The Great Barrier Reef is suitable example of the influence of such factors. Global climate change is the another problem with the increasing influence on the ocean condition and processes. Coral reefs, ocean fauna or polar animals as seal, orca, walrus or various whale species are used as the documentary examples. Migration routes of sea birds and fishes as albatross or salmon and their peril are other illustrative cases of the changing ocean ecosystem and its threat by human activities.
