Abstract

The project deals with the completion of the Art House. The Art House is perceived as an institution of supra-regional importance, to which is the shape and construction adapted. The current Art House does not meet the requirements of a gallery of the 21st century, like for barrier-free use of buildings, the technical facilities do not reach the standard for research, preservation, protection and presentation of large collections. The current model of operation of similar institutions does not meet social or economic requirements; therefore, the project introduced an element of blending public institution with a private entity. This creates a long term viable organism without excessive burden of public resources.

Another subject of the project was a cultivation of a neglected urban centre and the integration of peripheral components of art scene and art assimilation to inexpert schema_dspacedb.
