Návrh a implementace metody pro edge computing v prostředí LoRaWAN

Abstract

The number of devices that are part of the Internet of Things is steadily increasing, leading to growing demands for processing speed and data accuracy. As the number of devices increases, so does the load on the networks. The paradigm of edge computing offers to increase data processing speed and reduce network load by moving computations from central servers to edge devices. This thesis is focused on developing a method for decrypting data on a gateway device in LoRaWAN network. As part of the work, an application was implemented that serves as an interface between the gateway software and the LoRaWAN server. The results of the experiment confirm that the proposed method works. Decrypting messages on the gateway allows for reducing the server load, speeding up the response, and decentralizing computations.
