Dopady migrace na trh práce v USA

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on migration in the USA, more specifically immigration to the country. Besides general aspects of this phenomenon and theoretical approaches, it deals with historical course of migration in the USA. Greatest emphasize is given to monitoring immigration influx in the last decade affected by economic crisis and its effects on labour market. Precisely, how are the labour force composition, employement rate and wages influenced by immigration. The paper is based on up-to-date empirical analysis. Their assumptions are critically assessed and indicate some clear improvements which might be made to the design of American immigration system.
