Abstract

The aim of thesis was to create casting metal foams with a regular cell structure. Thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the using metal foams and description their properties. Another section is devoted to production part, mostly from foundry perspective. The theoretical part is ending production technology of using precursors and introducing the concept - a heat exchanger. Practical part is focused on design, implementation and casting of the heat exchanger. Metalographic test was made after casting because of exploring large porosity structure.
