Analýza chování povrchových trhlin při válcování za tepla

Abstract

Beňo, M. Analysis of surface cracks behaviour during hot rolling : a bachelor thesis. Ostrava: VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Department of Forming Technologies and Material Treatment, 2010, 56 p. Supervisor: Fabík, R. The bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of surface crack behaviour during hot rolling. The basis of this thesis was to minimize the adverse effects of surface cracks and attempt to design a suitable technique for rolling these surface defects. This concerns defects on continuous slabs. These defects appear despite the use of various methods for their limitation, and I will therefore deal with these defects in this thesis. Longitudinal and transverse defects were created in the material, which were then hot-rolled. Microsoft Office Excel graphs were then created from the obtained results. I compared the values of separate cracks used in the graph. I took into account the shape and angle of the crack on separate samples. I then compared the geometrical shape of cracks with the simulation and included the results in the conclusion of the thesis.
