Abstract
This diploma thesis focuses on the design and development of a web application for interactive route planning, including the visualization of energy consumption and other route parameters. A key part of the work is the creation of a physical model intended for calculating energy consumption during electric vehicle operation. The model takes into account various physical factors, such as aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, vehicle weight, and route topography.
The thesis also provides justification for the choice of programming language, framework, and libraries used. It includes a detailed description of the input data formats utilized in the consumption calculations, their structure, and methods of collection.
The outcome of the work is a fully functional web application, supplemented by an API interface that allows efficient use of the developed physical model. The model was tested using predefined test scenarios, and the results were compared with those of existing solutions to verify its accuracy and practical applicability.
The thesis also explores potential future extensions of the physical influences considered by the model and possible improvements to the application’s user interface for broader usability.
