Abstract

The theoretical part of thesis is dealing with modern (9-12)%Cr heat – resistant steels. An attention is paid first of all to creep behaviour, welding of these steels, mechanisms of failure of weldments and methods of structure characterization. In the experimental part of thesis metallographic investigations were carried out on a creep ruptured „cross weld“ specimen of the homogeneous weldment made of P92 steel. Parameters of creep exposure of the specimen investigated were 600°C/35890 hours. It was found out that failure of the „cross weld“ specimen occurred in the intercritical part of heat affected zone.
