Abstract
Purpose of this thesis is to design and implement part of IEEE 802.1q standard. Implementation of inter-VLAN routing, subinterfaces on a router and router on a stick are also included. Spanning tree protocol is briefly described. The programing phase was done in OMNeT++ version 4 and INET framework, integrated inside IDE Eclipse. Complex topology is the final part of this thesis, which shows all functionality.
