Abstract

The main task of this Thesis was to elaborate architectural and urban study based on previous semester works and prepare partial project documentation for later implementation of “Center of Modern Music.” Entire ideas and suggestions had to be transformed into clear and comprehensive technical instructions by using established and certified procedures or rules. The project has aimed to respond to the needs of the city of Ostrava in the candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2015, primary in those spheres: increase exhibitions capability and promote concerts, gigs and festivals. The result is an alternative music community center that meets these needs and also respects the historical value of the location and possible future of the region.

This Thesis consists of two parts: text part and technical plans. The text part deals with the function of building, analysis of the area plan and surrounding areas, characteristics of the district Svinov and also includes the technical report (according to regulation 499/2006). The second part includes technical drawings for documentation of the constructions implementation in adequate range to this thesis.
