Abstract

Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with the quarter hour maximum problems. The main assumption of savings at wholesale customers is the selection of the right tariff and contracting a suitable quarter hour maximum. Considering the current prices of electric power the savings are significant. It is convenient to regulate consumption to allow reduction of the quarter hour maximum consumptions as much as possible. The bachelor thesis includes several examples of electric power consumption regulation. It also mentions certain power consumption meters which are used for measuring of quarter hour maximum, and some principles and legal conditions of this measurement. The second part of the bachelor thesis describes the option to use the BACnet protocol for consumption regulation and controlling of observance of the quarter hour maximum. It also describes several standard objects which may be used for this issue. Further, it includes a simple algorithm for quarter hour maximum regulation. The conclusion of this bachelor thesis deals, among others, with the suitability of BACnet protocol application for regulation of electric power consumption.
