Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the measurement methods based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and its task is to demonstrate the principles currently used in SPR measurement methods and also indicate the results measured by SPR for liquid samples and magnetically active thin films with emphasis on the development of the magnetic field sensor on magneto - optical principle. Theoretical section explains the principles and concepts used in connection with surface plasmons, as evanescent wave or surface plasmon, and there is a summary of measurement methods and properties of surface plasmons, which are used in measurements. The practical section consists of a model structures which has been made for excitation of surface plasmons, there are described two devices in which measurements were carried out and also there are the results of this measurements.
