Některé otázky geologického vývoje spodních hrušovských vrstev v české části hornoslezské pánve

Abstract

This diploma’s thesis offers a summary of general information on the Czech part of the Upper Silesian Basin and the existing knowledge of the area. The first part of the thesis gives a brief geological characterization of the basin. It also describes its geological evolution as well as its principal features and depicts the division of the Upper Silesian Basin into constituent formations and members. The second part deals with the description of the Lower Hrušov Member. It includes data concerning their delimitation, thickness, division into individual faunistic horizons and their overall geological structure. The next part proposes methods of solution, which include the initial data together with the used materials, and furthermore the initial data processing and the graphic representations of used materials. The main part of the thesis was creation of geological models of thickness and coal-bearing capacity of the Lower Hrušov Member. Conclusion contains the evaluation of new models, their interpretation and comparsion with existing data.
