Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the project and construction of an integrated intelligent charger for an explorer vehicle that is powered by a Li-Pol battery. After being connected to the power source the charger is able to analyze the state of charging, carry out the balancing of the battery cells in-process, and also to evaluate the “charged” state and finish charging. The charger is able to charge using a “soft” power source therefore it would be possible in the future to supply the explorer vehicle with a renewable power source, e.g. photovoltaic cells. Power management module with Freescale Semiconductor HCS12 microcontroller is used to control the charger.
In the thesis there is the description of projecting of the charging module and its construction and development of the program for the microcontroller.
