Dostupnost sociálních služeb v Ostravě

Abstract

This thesis deals with the assessment of the accessibility of social services located in the city of Ostrava. The first part is devoted to issues of social services. Thereafter continues the evaluation of the demographic and social factors in Ostrava and their relationship to social services. The third chapter explains the creation of the database of the social services provided in Ostrava. The second half of thesis is devoted to the assessment of the accessibility itself. The accessibility of social services was evaluated from three aspects: the accessibility with the use of the individual automobile transport, the accessibility based on the accessibility within the walking distances, the accessibility with the use of public transport. In the case of public transport we considered the accessibility of transport connections. Due to the large number of social services the availability was evaluated only for selected species. An additional part of the work was also the creation of maps for the City Authority of Ostrava. The achievements of this work as well as possible extensions are mentioned in conclusion.
