Abstract
This diploma thesis provides a design and assessment of a structural and static monolithic reinforced concrete administrative building. It includes the information on the historical development of various structural systems and their classification. The practical part of the thesis focuses on a static calculation of selected structural elements (locally supported slabs, columns, staircase, stiffening core, footing and strip under the stiffening core). A model of the administrative building was created using ZWCAD and SCIA Engineer. A design and assessment of the abovementioned structural elements was carried out based on the results of the calculated design internal forces. Engineering drawings of reinforced elements, floor plans, sections, foundations and ceilings were created and are to be found in the Appendix part of this thesis.
