Abstract

The aim of this work is design and assess the log-structure of the family house. This work includes calculation off all types of loads acting on the structure of the house. The work includes of selected structural elements, which are elements of the roof an the ceiling above the first floor, these elements are rafters, purlins, columns, collar ties, longitudinal strut, tie beams and ceiling beams. Due to the height of log walls, this walls aren’t statically assessed. Selected connections of the truss construction are designed and assessed too. Structural elements are designed for ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. Ultimate limit state is carried out for the fire situation and the situation at normal temperature. Internal forces are calculated in Scia Engineer. Designed structural elements are satisfactory.
