Main inquiry of this thesis are sorbents of oil liquids. It explores the effect of granulometric structure onto sorption capacity of loose sorbents of oil. Methodology for verifying of maximal sorption capacity simulating sorption from solid surface is introduced. Methodology for sorption from emulsion (water-oil) simulating sorption from restless water level is introduced as well. These methodologies were taken from standard ASTM F 726-06 and subsequently modified. Measured values are tabular, graphically processed and listed in the result section. Outcome of this thesis is verifying of maximum sorption capacities and effect of grain size on sorption capacity.
