Abstract

The influence of addition biochar on soil properties (leaching of nutrients and migration reduction of selected elements: Zn and Cu) is the main goal of bachelor thesis. Different matrices were selected (sludge from waste water treatment plants and the soil from Rybí with high content of risk elements). The chosen samples (sludge and soils) have different nutrient content (N, P, K). After addition of biochar in sludge the leachable values of total nitrogen decreased. The addition of biochar increased the content of TOC in water leachate from soils. The content of total phosphorus and (NH4)+ gradually decreased with higher amount of added biochar. The mobility of heavy metals copper and zinc decreases at higher addition biochar.
