Head of the thesis doc. RNDr. Karla Barčová, Ph.D. The thesis deals with positron emission tomography workplace at the University hospital Ostrava. Theoretical part describes the legislation of the issue, the physics of ionizing radiation, radiation protection and description of the workplace. In the practical part is an evaluation of the particular workplace, radiation protection and analysis of potential critical points in protection. The following part of thesis is the protocol of measurements performed at the clinic of nuclear medicine. From the measurements and analytical methods are designed draft minimizing risks, including economic evaluation.
