Postavení Evropské unie v rámci světové ekonomiky z hlediska ekonomické síly

Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the analysis and evaluation of the European Union’s position in the global economy, primarily from the perspective of economic power. A combination of descriptive, analytical, and comparative methods is used. In the first part, the theoretical framework for measuring economic power and the position of countries in the world economy is defined. The second part is devoted to the historical development of the global economy and the characteristics of the three main economic centers. The third part is dedicated to the comparison of secondary data, through which the position of the European economy is evaluated relative to other economic centers based on indicators defined in the first part of the thesis. From the analysis, it is evident that although the European Union continues to be ranked among the world powers, its global position is significantly threatened by both internal and external factors.
