Abstract

The Diploma Thesis deals with evaluation of inhalable, thoracic and respirable fraction of dust in a working environment. The concept of dust, its particles and effects on humans are characterized here. It summarizes the principles of measurement and procedures for assignment of exposure. Also it contains work categorization and professional diseases caused by dust including statistics. The Thesis describes the measuring instruments necessary for the technical measurement, methods of measurement and selected sources of dust. The share of size fraction of dust is determined and the conclusions are descended.
