Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to design and create a backup and archiving data system for Company Vodovody a kanalizace Přerov, a.s. The work deals with development applications from the award itself, through its design to final implementation, deployment and testing operations. The system will consist of two main parts, namely the client and server. The client will allow backup files to a local store, compress, schedule and automatically run the backup process, synchronization, and connectivity to the central data server via LAN and restore data from backups that have been already created. Server will enable central management of backup storage, management of versions of stored data, data deduplication at the file level, the parallel connection of individual clients and their management, restoration of specific data to any location, and administrative routines for checking the database.
