Abstract

The present thesis deals with employee motivation. The main objective of the thesis is to identify the current motivation of the AB company employees and to propose a solution enhancing their motivation in case of detecting any problems. Furthermore, the thesis aims to determine the methods of employee motivation used by the company and the team leader, specify the methods preferred by the employees, introduce them or make them more effective. The data was gathered through a questionnaire. The analysis of a team of employees working at the AB company showed a number of positive aspects as well as the negative ones. Some of the positive aspects were fair and transparent remuneration; personal, team and job responsibility; surpassing expectations; and working beyond ones responsibilities. The negative aspects concern job monotony; interpersonal work relations (forming groups based on the employees’ starting day); and an inadequate delegation of responsibilities to the bankers. To solve these issues, the thesis provides various proposals and recommendations.
