Abstract

In this bachelor thesis, the space is dedicated to the economic transformation of the Baltic economies in the 90s of the 20th century. The goal is to evaluate mainly the economic development of the Baltic States after the collapse of the USSR. This will be achieved by using the methods of description and comparison of selected economic indicators. The first part is dedicated to the theoretical bases of economic transformation. It also discusses the various transformation steps and different theoretical views on the implementation of the transformation process. The second part describes the broader circumstances of the economic transformation of the Baltic States, along with their selected transformational steps. In the third part, there are presented and compared selected economic indicators. Conclusion contains evaluation of the economic development of the Baltic States in the period of economic transformation.
