Abstract

The thesis deals with the issue of non-profit organizations. It defines the basic characteristics, classification, legislative requirements and funding. The primary objective of this work is to describe the activities and management of civil associations. In connection with this objective, a comparison is made with a new legislation in the areas of foundation, formation, management, economy, cancellation and termination. Subsequently from a theoretical point of view a specific non-profit organization is described. The last part is practical, focusing on the evaluation of the selected non-profit entity through the assessment of individual income and expenditure in the years 2009 - 2013. In conclusion are these findings evaluated and it is found that financial resources are not sufficient for the organization. Therefore are also mentioned some possible ways to increase resources. Mainly used methods to achieve the set objective is method of description and comparison.
