Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to penetrace deeper into the functioning of protected landscape areas. The thesis focuses on the landscape areas support and development and the possibility of withdrawals of subsidies for each of the protected landscape area and their further development. The second chapter covers concepts, subsidy programs, the definition of the law, economic view of ecology, NATURA 2000 and further introduction of nine PLA in the Czech Republic and the manner of their financing. In the third chapter, the thesis focuses on PLA in the Beskydy Mountains. The aim was to found out more about its functioning, financing, development, but also important matters such as environmental education or research and monitoring. The fourth chapter deals with the issues resolved in media. In the journalistic part the editorial, the article, the interview and the survey have been used.
