Geologicko-montánní exkurze údolím řeky Váh

Abstract

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the region round the Vah river in Slovakia. This area stretches across various geomorphological units and belongs to the province of Western Carpathians. In the first part I present basic characteristics of the Vah river. I pay attention particularly to geomorphological structuring of the Western Carpathians in the valley of the Vah river and to the complicated geology of the whole area. In the second part I suggest a field trip to the valley of the Vah river; its aim is to learn important geological areas and remarkable works of nature. For completeness' sake I also recommended the type and location of accommodation, I drew up a timetable and calculated the prices.
