Zhodnocení vlivu vstupu Slovenska do eurozony a dopady na efektivnost slovenského bankovního sektoru

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is the comparation of the effectiveness of Slovak banks, before and after entry into the Euro Area and evaluate this entry. Thesis is divided into the three parts. The first part is focused on description of the Slovak Banking sector. Described as profitability, costs, loans and deposits. The second chapter is focused on the theoretical concept of efficiency in economic theory. Described as the most frequently used methods. There is also given summary of empirical papers, which are interested in similar problems. The last chapter presents the results achieved. The data used in this thesis came from the unconsolidated financial statements of Slovak banks 2005 - 2014.
