Abstract
The rapid development of advanced geospatial technologies involves the creation of a series of works focused on their application and development especially in planning and landscape visualization. Work will focus on one of the highest forms of visualization in virtual reality environments.
Interest to the public and professionals on the implementation of the results of this work in landscape planning is confirmed by sociological surveys. Implementation of such solutions are not simple and involve a whole complex of problems, which by its nature interdisciplinary. Potential to solve this problem is mainly Geoinformatics, but that can not do without knowledge and use of methods from related fields such as geography, respectively. landscape ecology, urbanism, etc.
Labour tries to look at the synthesis solution to this problem and a detailed analysis of available resources is a complex of methods for evaluating the evolution of landscapes, landscape visualization in 3 scale levels, including system architecture design allows landscape models, respectively. alternative scenarios, see the virtual reality environment.
That complex methods applied and tested in the model territory Klasterec nad Ohri (north-western part of Bohemia), which, mainly due to its location in the Czech-German border, is a dynamic landscape changes and their effects over 250 years. The conclusion assesses the use of virtual reality for visualizing landscapes and scenarios, including a proposal for implementation use in decision-making about changes in the landscape.
