Mikrofosilie karbonátových sedimentů nejvyšší jury a spodní křídy slezské jednotky.

Abstract

This dissertation thesis deals with study of microfossils, which are occurring in carbonate sediments of Silesian Unit. Primarily it is focused on representative of the calpionells and calcareous dinoflagellates, which are significant in stratigraphic interval from uppermost Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous. I deal more closely with sediments of two developments in Silesian Unit. The first is base of slope of the Baška Development and the second is the basinal Godula Development. In both of them, there are occurring sediments of uppermost Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous. Sediment under study in most cases lack stratigraphically significant macrofauna. Here microfossils with calcareous wall are the only option to determining the age of carbonate sediments, such as is Těšín Limestone in the Godula Development and Lower Cretaceous limestones (especially Čupek Limestone) in the Baška Development. Need for their studies primarily came from the connection with research and determination of the Jura/Cretaceous boundary in studied area within project GAČR "Integrated multi-proxy study of the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary in marine sequences: contribution to global boundary definition" (16-09979S).
