Abstract

BERGEROVÁ, D. Evaluation of Flame Spread through External Walls from Selected Wood and Wood-based Materials, diploma thesis, Ostrava, Technical Univesrity of Ostrava, 2021. The thesis deals with behaviour of façades during a fire. First part describes main types of façades used nowadays, including legislation with regards to fire safety of facades and testing methodologies across Europe. The second part of the thesis describes reasons of dealing with façade systems under fire conditions and how it is dealt with it. Moreover, the thesis describes preparations and testing equipment for the experimental part. Finally, process of individual experimental measurements, comparison of the results and proposal for further experimental measurements is given.
