PUBLIC SUPPORT IN THE EUROPEAN UNION THROUGH THE BLOCK EXEMPTION

Abstract The thesis is focused on the use of public support through block exemptions. The area of public support is a very variable, current and relatively difficult issues, which is subject to continuous development. Public support and its various forms of delivery are part of the economic policies of most countries, and EU Member States are no exception in this respect. The aim of my diploma thesis is to evaluate the development of public support in the area of block exemptions in EU countries from 2010 to 2017 based on the analysis and comparison of public support and to propose appropriate recommendations. The content part of the thesis is divided into three main content chapters. The first chapter is the introduction and the final conclusion. The second chapter is devoted to the theoretical basis of public support in the EU. The third chapter contains State aid compatible with the internal market through block exemptions. The practical part is devoted to the analysis and comparison of block exemptions in the years 2010 to 2017, which are the basis for overall evaluation and recommendations.
