Abstract
The aim of this thesis was to identify what requirements sets the international, respectively intercultural competence of selected industrial company to its management, how is the effectiveness of the organizational management of the company conditioned to understanding managers of intercultural dimension of management and activities of the organization, and on the basis of detected data identify reserves and suggest possible improvements of intercultural management approach.
The thesis is focused on the application of intercultural management in selected international company.
The main objective was achieved on the basis of predetermined partial objectives. Partial objectives consisted in studying professional literature dealing with problems of intercultural management. With the help of this literature were clarified and defined some basic concepts related to intercultural management. It was also necessary to become familiar with the analyzed international company Stora Enso. Then, through the checklist and interviews with managers and workers, was made the analysis of the application of intercultural management approach in this company. On the basis of the analysis were formulated suggestions, and recommendations for management.
