Abstract

Bachelor work focuses on the study of optimization of oxygen-converter steelmaking process with a detailed focus mainly on the intensification process while reducing costs and improving the quality of steel produced. Literary analysis of the current global knowledge provides information on the effect of addition of ladle slag as primary slag on the production process in an oxygen converter and the total weight of slag. Attention is focused on the assessment of the effects of conditions in the oxygen steelmaking converter on the final steel cleanness, amount and distribution of inclusions. The literary analysis is with the latter study devoted to the verification of the modified oxygen nozzle, which significantly accelerates the reaction refine the production of steel in an oxygen converter.
