Cultural and theater hub in Pribor center

Abstract

The thesis proposes a comprehensive renovation of Sigmund Freud Square in the historic center of Příbor. While the city is defined by its rich cultural heritage and distinct architectural character, there is a pressing need for a contemporary vision that enhances pedestrian accessibility and integrates modern social infrastructure without compromising its historical identity.

Central to the proposal is a new multi functional building located on U Brány Street, designed to house cultural exhibitions, a theater stage which are connected by underground gallery that will create one function building, and versatile spaces catering to both youth and elderly activities. the design introduces an "open green street." This landscaped pedestrian artery creates a continuous public pathway, strengthening the spatial relationship between the historic center and the new development while addressing the urban requirement for increased greenery permeability.

Diplomová práce se zabývá komplexní revitalizací náměstí Sigmunda Freuda v historickém centru Příbora. Přestože je město definováno svým bohatým kulturním dědictvím a výrazným architektonickým charakterem, vyvstává naléhavá potřeba současné vize, která by zlepšila prostupnost pro pěší a integrovala moderní sociální infrastrukturu, aniž by narušila historickou identitu místa.

Stěžejním bodem návrhu je nová polyfunkční budova v ulici U Brány, navržená pro kulturní výstavy a divadelní scénu. Tyto prostory jsou propojeny podzemní galerií, čímž vytvářejí jeden funkční celek s univerzálními prostory pro aktivity mládeže i seniorů. Urbanistické řešení zavádí koncept „otevřené zelené ulice“ – krajinářsky upravené pěší tepny, která vytváří plynulou veřejnou cestu. Tento prvek posiluje prostorovou vazbu mezi historickým jádrem a nově navrženým kulturním centrem a zároveň naplňuje požadavek na zvýšení podílu zeleně a propustnosti území.
